MCG Technician App Privacy Policy

How Myanmar Classic Group collects, uses, and protects information when authorized technicians use the MCG mobile app.

Myanmar Classic Group Co., Ltd (“MCG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the MCG Technician mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when authorized air conditioner installers and service technicians use the App.

By registering for or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Who this App is for

The App is intended for authorized MCG technicians and installers who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed at children and may not be used by minors.

To register, you must meet MCG's technician eligibility requirements, including the minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

  • Full name and father's name
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth — collected during registration to verify that you meet the minimum age of 18 to work as an MCG technician; the App blocks registration if you are under 18
  • National Registration Card (NRC) details
  • Home address (state, township, street address)
  • Shop name and shop address
  • Profile photo (avatar)
  • Technician ID and earnings balance
  • Login credentials (password; stored securely on our servers)

Installation and service records

  • Customer information linked to a job (name, address, contact details as required for service)
  • E-warranty ID and unit codes (indoor/outdoor QR codes)
  • Brand, shop, and location details
  • Installation and servicing photos (indoor/outdoor unit photos)
  • Remarks and job metadata
  • Dates and history of installations and repairs

Device permissions and media

  • Camera — to scan QR/barcodes and capture installation/service photos
  • Photo library — to upload existing installation photos

We only access the camera or photos when you choose to use those features.

Technical and usage information

  • Authentication token stored locally on your device
  • App version and device-related data needed to operate the App
  • Remote configuration data (e.g. maintenance mode, update notices)
  • Server logs related to API requests (e.g. timestamps, IP address, error logs)

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

3. How we use your information

We use collected information to:

  • Verify that registrants meet the minimum age of 18 using date of birth provided at signup
  • Create and manage technician accounts
  • Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions
  • Register air conditioner installations and service jobs
  • Verify e-warranty status and customer eligibility
  • Process technician earnings, gifts, and promotions
  • Display MCG advertisements and promotional content
  • Provide in-app guides and support materials
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the App
  • Enforce our terms and prevent fraud or misuse
  • Process account deletion requests initiated in the App
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • MCG and affiliated shops/dealers — to manage installations, warranties, and technician programs
  • Service providers — hosting, infrastructure, or support vendors that help us operate the App, under confidentiality obligations
  • Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

We do not sell your personal information.

Information you submit (such as installation photos and customer job data) is transmitted to our servers at myanmarclassicgroup.com and processed for business operations.

5. Data retention

We retain personal and job-related data for as long as your account is active and as needed to:

  • Provide services
  • Meet warranty and business record requirements
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
  • Comply with legal obligations

We may delete or anonymize data when it is no longer required.

6. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS/TLS for data transmitted between the App and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may be able to:

  • Access or update profile information in the App
  • Change your password
  • Update your profile photo
  • Delete your account — go to Profile → Delete Account, type delete my account to confirm, then tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your technician account and associated app data from our systems. This is not the same as logging out.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data by contacting us

Some information may need to be retained for legal or business purposes even after a deletion request (for example, installation or service records required for warranty, tax, or compliance). When retention is required, we will limit use of that data to those purposes.

8. Third-party services

The App may open external links (for example, the MCG e-warranty website or app store update pages) in your device browser. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.

The App does not include third-party advertising networks; promotional content is provided by MCG.

9. International users

The App is operated from Myanmar. If you access the App from other regions, your information may be processed in Myanmar or where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
